House of Story Wear is delighted to welcome Lola and Clemente - founders of Spanish natural indigo maker Tintoremus - to Taiwan in February 2025.

We will host a workshop on 19 February showing how sustainable, ease-to-use natural pigment can turn your old or unwanted clothing into beautiful shades of indigo with just a bucket of water, gloves and a little bit of patience.

We will provide you with all the tools. All you need to bring are white or very light coloured pieces of clothing made from natural fibres, such as T-shirts, canvas shoes and caps. The experience lasts 90 minutes, and we advise that you bring no more than 2 pieces of clothing to allow sufficient time for experimenting with different materials and techniques.

The ticket price includes the full workshop and equipment fee, and an extra 250g bag of Tintoremus natural indigo for you to take away and try at home.

The workshop is open to Sustainable Partner and Sustainable Superstar members only and will be held from 14.30-16.00, with a maximum of 15 people per workshop. After the workshop, there will be complimentary drinks at the Library until 18.00.

Additional information:

~ As a friendly reminder, this is an experimental and creative workshop, aimed at encouraging you to try the various possibilities with natural indigo dyeing. We are responsible for teaching the fun, but not the end result!

~ Please remember to bring clean items of clothing for dyeing. Any dirt or grease could undermine the quality and performance of the pigment.

~ Children are more than welcome to join the workshop, though please note that children over 10 years of age are required to book and pay as a separate participant at standard adult prices upon checkout.
