Refashioning Historical Dadaocheng

House of Story Wear is located in a century-old traditional shophouse in Dadaocheng. It has witnessed the glorious history of Taipei's tea port and was later used as a textile factory. In front of the shophouse was a small canal, "Gangzai Canal," which connected to the Tamsui River. This canal was used for tea transportation from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Japanese colonial period. The shophouse is situated at a bend in the canal, causing the building to be set back.

Dadaocheng is one of the birthplaces of Taiwan's textile industry and remains a thriving hub for fabric and garment businesses. We chose to establish ourselves here to continue this cherished traditional culture.
